| #1: Fayetteville | Travel South on FM 109, cross RR tracks, drive to Frelsburg. At stop sign near Heisohn's hub, turn Right on McElhenny Road. At first crossroads, turn Left on to San Felipe Road. Then lope or amble across the fields of countryside, veer Right on to FM 1291 at Lone Oak. Pass the old cemetery on the right just before you cross the Fayetteville RR tracks. Along the way, round bales of hay at harvest dot the countryside, all yellow-gold riches. |
| #2: Bellville | Travel North on FM 109 to Star Hill Road. Pass the cemetery on the edge of New Ulm, traverse the hills northward to Brickhenge: crooked pillars at Star Hill Road. You will travel northeastward over hills, some of the loveliest in Austin County.
