There are limited opportunities for fine dining in the Industry/New Ulm area. With that in mind, we have approached our friends and neighbors at Curly Q Ranch to offer an array of elegant meals*, prepared and served at Lily Ponds Cottage to those guests with a taste for more than standard "country cuisine". We bring a lifetime of cooking to the table and have, over the years, perfected a wide range of cuisines... From French to Continental to almost any ethnic cuisine that might be of interest.
We enjoy sharing our passion for food as much as we enjoy our passion for horses so this opportunity seems to be a perfect fit! We look forward to helping make your stay at Lily Ponds Cottage memorable!
If guests consider themselves "comfortable in the kitchen", we enjoy an extra pair of hands to assist in preparation. However, first and foremost, it's about enjoying your stay at Lily Ponds Cottage! With that in mind, you are just as welcome to take a glass of wine down to the dock while dinner is being prepared.
Each menu is completely tailored to the individual guest's tastes and are priced accordingly.
Meals start at $30.00 per person (not including beverages).
Our seasonal menus will reflect what is coming from our garden at the time of your stay, unless you want a specific vegetable that we don't grow. Our summer garden has crook neck squash, zucchini, green beans, a variety of lettuces and tomatoes, red onion, spring onion, leeks, white corn, a variety of peppers (from mild to wild) and eggplant. Our herb garden has rosemary, basil, sage, parsley, oregano and thyme.
To satisfy our rural upbringing, we also have okra, black-eyed peas, purple hull peas and both mustard and collard greens.
Unfortunately, asparagus will always be store-bought.
These meals will be prepared from start to finish** at Lily Ponds Cottage. We will advise you of the time required to prepare each meal so planning your evening is possible.
